Torderødalleen 11, 1511 Moss

In a lush green park surrounded by trees and volcanic cliffs, you can find the historic 18th Century building, Torderød Gård.

This newly restored manor house full of tales and culture will be the outstanding location for a heartfelt and exciting collaboration that is my upcoming show, Jeløys Dyr & Fugler.

LOCAL INSPIRATION

One of the elements I found very inspiring at Torderød are all the beautiful patterns found on their handprinted wallpapers and antique furniture.

They remind me of designs by my favorite art movement, Art Nouveau, which is why the colors and patterns will be incorparated in some of the paintings.

Jeløya is the Norwegian island where I grew up, and it's a place famous for its varied and rich bird and wildlife.

This exhibit is both a celebration of that and a reminder of the importance of preserving the natural habitats these animals thrive in.
