By Edvard Granum Dillner

NO

‘‘Marie Blom's paintings are both classic and modern, realistic and abstract. Everything we see in the picture originates from nature. It is the bird itself, a product of a long evolution that has shaped the species into what it is today. Then there is the background, a man-made pattern. A pattern created by Blom based on found tile patterns which in turn are based on nature. An abstraction of nature.’’
