The Process

Step 1

Concept & Inspiration

I start my creative process by simply being in nature.

I love going for long walks in the woods and by the sea while taking photos of plants and landscapes that inspire my color choices and patterns.

I then search for and edit reference images of birds to bring out the best light, form, and shadow, optimizing them for lifelike renderings.

Once I’ve gathered these materials, I sketch my Art Nouveau-inspired patterns by hand, digitize them, and play around with colors and compositions until everything comes together in a harmonious final image.

Step 2

Creation & Technique

Once the image is ready, I transfer the design onto my canvas and begin the painting process.

I love working with oil paints because the rich colors and flexibility of the medium let me experiment with different techniques, like creating soft washes or adding textured impasto details.

Before I start, I spend time mixing my colors on the palette, which helps me get into a creative flow and ensures the transitions in the painting are smooth and seamless. As I paint, I’m always adjusting and layering, letting the piece evolve naturally until it feels right.

Step 3

Final Touches & Presentation

To finish each painting, I carefully refine every detail until it feels just right.

Then, I add a protective layer of varnish to keep it vibrant and beautiful for years to come. Each piece is signed and custom-framed, so it’s ready to hang as soon as it arrives.

Once complete, the artwork joins my collection of currently available work, where you can explore and find the perfect piece to bring nature’s beauty and the spirit of the wild into your home.
